Is my child care data private?
Records are kept behind your signed-in account and TOTS does not sell child care records or use them for advertising. No online service can promise absolute security, so protect account passwords and device access.
Do I still need paper sleep logs?
TOTS supports your documentation, but it does not replace required physical observations. Whether you also keep paper copies depends on your licensing rules and program procedures; you can save or print PDF copies when needed.
What happens if I lose internet access?
A connection is required to record a sleep check because TOTS shows it as complete only after the server confirms the save. If your connection drops, reconnect and confirm the check appears and the status says “Synced” before relying on the record.
Can an inspector sign in and see my records?
There is no separate inspector portal. You control access to your account and can show the daily log or prepare a PDF for review.
How do I get my records out of TOTS?
Use Download PDF for a day or date range. Account owners and authorized administrators can also download a facility backup ZIP from the Account page; automatic email archives are not live yet.
